Equity Oracle: 12/18/14

As I mentioned in the video, US Steel has been around for a very long time, yet, this is the first time we have offered this to our subscribers as a trade candidate. The first thing that pops out on the chart for me is that the gap has filled and the stock is starting to pivot higher. […]

This is a stock that we did very well with last January. Once again AXAS is giving us a buy signal with two back-to-back bullish engulfing patterns. The stock is pivoting off of a well-established role-reversal support level that was drawn from my weekly candle chart. As you will see from the video, this support level not only gives […]

We did very well the last time we traded this stock and I expect that we will have a repeat performance with Sprint as we set a goal to close out of the position for a profit once the gap fills to the upside. Sprint Corp. has a good track record for filling the gaps and now that […]

One of the reasons I’m looking at the cheaper stocks is because we are rapidly approaching that time of year when the “January Effect” starts to kick in. This is when professional traders and money managers start to move out of their large cap holdings with a goal of shifting into the small cap market. Novagold (NG) is a […]

I hope you can see just how valuable contingent buy orders are for entering into a new position. Last week an alert went out to buy the stock only after it broke out over the resistance line, but that never happened. Instead, the stock pulled back from resistance and is now sitting on support (50-day MA). The hammer candle […]

We finally have the green light to get back into NUGT. After nine red weekly candles in a row the buyers are finally back into the stock on extremely high volume. In fact, if you look at the chart (above) you will see that the volume we had this week is the highest we have had in 3 […]

You can see from the weekly candle chart above that the stock is bouncing nicely off of the role-reversal support line, around $10. It’s nice when a stock forms a clear pivot point at a support level because it not only helps us with the entry point, but also helps us with an exit strategy for managing risk.

J.C. Penny is trading very close to its 20-year lows and it looks as though the stock is pivoting higher to re-test the 50-day moving average. This is an opportunity for us to get into a long position at a reasonable price. If the stock looks like it is going to close below support then […]

This week has been one of the most volatile weeks of the year and investors are having a hard time trying to figure out what to do with their money. Fortunately, we have a plan in place that’s working and it looks as though we are about to set ourselves up in another great trade.
