What are the dates and times of the event?

Section 1: The five 90-minute Internet sessions will be held: April 13, 15, 20, 22, 27 8:00 – 9:30 EST. All session will be recorded and made available to attendees for ten weeks from their recorded date.

Section 2: The CBOE two days live will be April 29th and 30th starting at 9:00 AM EST through 5:30 PM EST.

What is the cost of the CBOE Options Immersions Experience?

The Experience has two sections: the first section consists of five 90-minute Internet sessions to build a solid foundation in tech analysis, risk management, option terminology and the basic premises of trading. The second section is the live two-day CBOE event. The cost for both sessions if $4,500. If a student meets the prerequisites then they may elect to attend the CBOE event only for $3,500.

Will wireless Internet access be provided in the CBOE classroom?

Yes, we will have a wireless Internet connection for both days free of charge for attendees.

What hotels are near the CBOE?

The CBOE is in the heart of downtown Chicago with many hotels within walking distance and for all budgets. Our favorite hotel in the area is the W and within easy walking distance to the event.

Will food be provided?

Yes, for both days a Continental breakfast will be provided along with a catered lunch. A cocktail reception with appetizers is included at the end of the first day.

I'd like to bring a guest. What's the guest policy?

We encourage trading as a team and you’re welcome to bring one guest at a reduced rate. The fee for a guest is $1,500, and your guest must be registered at the same time.

How can I get a receipt for my records?

What is included in the fee for the event?

For students attending both the Internet sessions and the live 2-day CBOE event the following is included:

What form of identification will I need to get into the CBOE event?

Due to its vital importance to the global financial markets, the security at the CBOE is very tight. Attendees will need to show a state issued drivers' license or Passport to exchange security personnel to gain access. Your ID and name on the official attendee list must match.

How should I dress for the event?

The classrooms can be cool so having a light jacket or sweater is a good idea.

I'm flying in. When should I plan to arrive and depart?

The event will be exciting and very busy, so we suggest arriving as early as your schedule allows on Wednesday, April 28th to get a good night's rest.

We anticipate many attendees will want to enjoy the sites of Chicago over the weekend, but if you must depart after day 2 we anticipate concluding right around 4:30. Remember to factor in drive times, Friday traffic congestion, check-in times, and security screenings if you plan to fly out Friday night.

I'm a Certified Financial Planner. Can I get CE credit for attending?

Yes, our Options course has been accepted by the CFP Board of Standards for ten hours of CE credit. Contact BEFORE attending the sessions if you are a CFP and would like us to document and report your attendance to the CFP Board for credit.

How many students will be attending?

Although the classroom can seat more students, the event will be limited to no more than 50 attendees to ensure an appropriate instructor to student ratio for both days.

What trading software will you be using during the event?

Although you do not need to have a laptop at the event with access to a trading/charting platform, many attendees will. We will be using Power Etrade Pro throughout the event to provide real time quotes, charts and trading examples. You are welcome to use any charting or trading platform of your choice.

I've been trading stocks for many years. Can I skip the Internet sessions and just attend the CBOE event?

Possibly. Since the first day of the CBOE event starts with intermediate strategies, each attendee must have a solid understanding of technical analysis, risk management, basic option terminology and strategies in order to benefit from more advanced strategies.

Graduates of TMGU Intro to Options course and the TMG Mentoring Program may skip the Internet sessions and pay the reduced rate of $3,500.

Those interested in attending who believe they have the required knowledge should contact to take a 50 question online evaluation. Successful completion will qualify for an exception to the prerequisite.
